I love the kit except the velcro attachment. I like it on the side of the speedometer pod but the dang thing keeps falling. I prepped it real good 2x with alcohol. Anyone have a way of affixing it good? Maybe a bracket or something? I was trying to figure out a way to zip-tie it to the pod but can gain access to the back because of plastic in there. Then I was thinking console but I like to be able to see it working. Maybe a c-clamp bracket that clips on to the edge of the pod and bolts to the back plate of the control box. I have to find something because it has fallen twice now......she said:D

I got some pics for ya if your interested. I'm using a 3M heavy duty velcro. Been holding up real good. I'll go take some pics tomorrow. Email me if your interested.

Got mine stashed in my console. Nobody would ever know if I didn't show it off to everybody.:p (just the buick boys mostly)

Dude, that guy's GN runs on alcohol..............:p

If I had an SMC mine would be in the console also. Last thing I need is that honker looking at me all the time. Or stash it between the seat and the console

Go buy some stickier velcro at Home Depot. Then apply it to the side that hits the dash pod and the side that contacts the dash. Mine has help up that way for about 4 months now and I had the same problem you had.

I had the same problem. Mine would fall off and it wasn't even hot outside yet. After trying different people's velcros I just decided to super glue the velcro to the side of the pod. BEFORE YOU GO CRAZY AND CALL THE NUT HOUSE ON ME..... My pod was messed up anyways with several holes in it from my tach install. It's too easy to get a replacement from someone up here so why not? I like the way mine ended up and if I ever sell the car, which my g/f would kill me if I did, I could just get another pod and put it on.

Oldest trick in the book....heat the adhesive side of the velcro with a heatgun, hair dryer, or lighter. Heat until the "sticky" stuff is shiny and then apply to the pod with firm even pressure. This is assuming the pod is pre-cleaned of all oils, armorall, etc...Had mine installed this way and it has never come off....on it's own. ;)

Mine's under the dash......it stays there by dumb luck. I made a braket for it and slide it between the panels under the steering wheel.
