Ok took My T out yesterday and the car backed out of the drive way fine on the way to the store. Got to the store went in was there maybe 20min. came out and the car wouldnt back up!
went to get the car aligned the tech got in it after it sat for about an hour backed up fine per him as I didnt see him get in it.
When he went to take it off the rack it didnt back up again :(

So I came home and looked at the shifter and shifter cable all is fine when I move the shifter to reveres its locked in on the trans. Same for all the forward gears.

Now I am lost because the car has 3rd witch is part of the reverse pack so its not a band or clutch issue or is it????

The car has a stage right trans break in the valve body so could something be wrong with the valve body??

I need HELP ASAP ON THIS AS I AM trying like hell! to get the car to the track on June 5th

Thanks for your help and brian Im still waiting for a call back :frown:

Oh and the fluid is full and pink not burt :)

Also the trans has maybe 1000 miles on it and 6 track pass's and I have never ever used the t-break well once in the drive way to make sure it worked :)

Will the

Trans upshift to second and third in O/D range? It shouldn't be a problem with the stage-rite. Could be an issue with the accum plate {stiffener plate under the 1-2 accum housing} bolt that loosened up.

Shifts fine when in O/D and has all forward gears shifts hard on them all just wont back up

Where is the 1-2 accum housing in the V-Body or the side of the trans??
Sorry I know nothing about transmtions :(

The 1-2 accum housing

is right behind the valve body on the valve body side. The stiffener plate is right under the 1-2 auucm housing. You may want to re-tighten the 1-2 accum housing and the one 10mm headed bolt {the bolt will be under the 3rd gear pressure switch} on the stiffener plate.

Try lo gear {l1} and see if you have engine braking.

Mike.

Car has reverse cold but not hot (When fluid is thinner) I just took her for a ride because I fired her up and she backed right out of the garge!
But when I got back from the store no reverse again :(

Im clueless and Im going to go pull the pan has to be something simple HELP!

Ill look for loose bolts also but if I dont find any I dont know I want to fuss with it Im a scardy cat when it comes to trans stuff

67 hits and no other help??
I pulled the pan and there is not much in it (Good sign I hope) Where are all the trany people today ??
I want to fix this asap but I have no clue where to start HELP Again lol

Should I get a new V-body??

does the brake hold when you rev it up? if not the low clutch is not holding.

When the car is cold everything works even the Stage right T-brake when hot no reverse and no the car creaps when you set he brake :(

Is it a valve body issue or is the trans shot???

HELP I WANT TO FIX THIS THIS WEEKEND!

Thanks for the help Brian!
See at 9am Sharp!
Great customer service as always! GREAT GUY BUY A TRANS FROM THIS MAN!

Got my trans back from Brian today and all I can say is YOU THE MAN!

Thanks for your great customer service and awsome trans!

Converter Blew up and over heated the pump more or less recked the whole flipping trans :(
But on the up side Brian hooked me up and made the trans a roller bearing deal and it should free up some HP :)

What was the problem?

Part 1... The converter does have some issues.

Part 2... The problem with the loss of reverse was the forward clutch drum plastic washer was melted, causing the the the fluid to leak past the seal.
Any plastic washers in the trans were melted as well.

Diagnosis... Probably to much heat from the transbrake.
