Keep the gas prices going up and i am not going to be afford to drive anymore :-(. Might as well go buy a Hybrid Electric car so i can afford food :(

Was a dumb move on their part. Who will import gas to sell at a lower price than they pay for it? You notice no where does the state or local governments offer to lower their taxes on the fuel to help keep prices down. They are going to price their gas based on L.A., N.Y., and the gulf region. I guess they don't understand that if gas is that high here, who is going to pay for the cost of shipping the crude half way across the Pacific ocean? Government at it's finest.

BULLS EYE!!!! Next, we'll hear about long lines and gas shortages in Hawaii.

...our idiotic legislature does it again  And there were lots of people who were actually happy about it when it passed. (people who have obviously never studied economics  ).

When will they learn that price caps NEVER work.

That has been done. A few years ago when prices were going up (remember the panic at $2.00???) Illinois dropped its gas tax for the last six months of the year to help the prices. Of course, our new goverenor seems to have no desire to do that again.....
