I'm looking for a set of head bolts for a hot air block (late 85 production). I accidentally tossed the bolts from one bank, and have the others. 1986 and up uses torque to yield bolts but earlier engines didn't. Does anyone have a set of these? BTW, the bolts have a reduced body, I can post pics if needed. I need 8 bolts but will take whatever I can get, or if anyone knows if ARP makes the correct bolts for a hot air block with stock iron heads. Thanks.

I have a set of good used ARP head bolts, but on the box, it says ''
Cylinder Head Bolts, Pro Series, 12-Point Head, Buick, 3.8L, Grand National, T-Type, Kit'' but it doesn't say anything about the year...Do you think they would fit? I'd sell them to you for $40.

Claude.

Thanks got the reply Claude,

One of the differences of these bolts is the length, the hot air cars used shorter bolts than IC cars (IC cars have recessed threads in the block deck, hot air motors don't). I guess if they are the right length I would be fine. The bolts measure: 2.75 inches (6 of these) and 3.50 inch (2 of these) per head of course. If you can measure them that would be great. Let me know. Thanks.

I have ARP nw in box# 123-3603 (86-87)

Thanks, but I have brand new 86-87 bolts, but they won't work. I'm running a late 85 block. 86-87 (actually 86-89 are the same as they were also used in a TTA.) bolts are longer then the earlier engines. Thanks anyway though.
