head stud re-torque ??

How many times can you re-torque head studs before they're considered "used up"

I "think" that if the studs have not yielded or stretched that you should be good. I rather have a used set of studs than a new set.:biggrin:

same here give me a used set over a new set anyday i hvae already been down that road

I have probably pulled out and re-torqued my head studs about 5 times now. I just replaced my leaking cometic headgaskets with felpro's and now I have no more leaks. I don't think my block surface is perfectly flat (115K original untouched block with about 6 blown headgaskets).
