Does anybody have any comments on the fiberglass aftermarket Header panels in regards to fit and finish. Are GBodys.com header panels any different from Postons, Kirbans or Speedyautoparts?

If anybody has an original Panel or a Pass Headlight bezel, send me a PM.

We actually carry 3 types of header panels.Aftermarket GN light weight version,T-type after market, & used orignals.
The GN light weight version I usually sell when I walk up & can punch it
It doesn't crack been running it for 6 years.Hand laid F.G. Light weight & looks exactly from the factory on the outside. You can tell when you lift the hood the the center support is after market.
T-type unit is OK but takes some work to look perfect.
Used mint ones are far & few between.
If you can repair yours that would be best,Nothing like the original unit.
I have a few used headlight bezels in excellent shape if you need them.

I tried a keysone header panel about 5 years ago and it took alot of work to get it to fit...:o i had two issues with the thickness of the fiberglass ledge that the clips that hold the top of the grill in place. i took it off my car and just went with the used gm and filled the hole to avoid head aches...:D i also had a problem because there was a 1/8 - 1/4 inch gap were it meeted with the hood.. i haven't tried the gbodyparts header panel....;)

when i bought my ttype it had a aftermarket header panel on it and it fit like **** buy a used original that is your best bet

I hit a deer last fall and was faced with the same issue-used or after market. I went used original GN from Brian at GBODYPARTS. The cost was more than double the after market light weight one-insurance paid the $650 for the used one. I would pay the price for an original even on my own dollar. GBOYPARTS also has original TTYPE header panels with the holes filled. I doubt after painting you would ever know the difference and they are cheaper. My 2 cents. Brad

Brad you went the hi road which is more then most can bare. But I can say there is nothing like the original. They are just too hard to find in mint shape anymore. If we get 10 Gn's in here & 1 has an original that is impressive. It wasn't like that 5 years ago.We do have a great body shop we deal with that can fill the holes now & you can't tell. The original GN header panels are tough to find.

i have had 5 gns and 1 good header panel between the 5. i have parted out or had about 30 regals/t types/gn's and maybe had 10 good header panels between them all.getting really tough to get.i have looked at many cars that were not for sale or i passed on buying and lots of broke header panels out there.get a original while you can.i sold bweavy gn wheels before and he was great to deal with i would highly recommend.

I've got a couple t-type style panels in decent shape - PM if you still need one...
