Header to turbo exhaust gasket

I am having trouble with blowing out my header to turbo exhaust gasket. I am using the RJC gasket. I have stock headers and a te-44. The problem appears to be, the ID of the gasket is nearly as large as the OD of the exhuast inlet of the turbo. So, it looks like there is very little contact area to properly seal the gasket. The gasket has plenty of contact area on the header side, just not the turbo side. Any help is appreciated.

No, the flange is good. The inside diameter of the gasket is almost as large as the outside diameter of the exhaust inlet for the turbo. Therefore, there is minimal surface area for sealing. If it weren't for the three bolt ears on the turbo, the gasket would almost fit over the exhaust inlet.
