Got the car running great thanks to a couple of guys now I'm getting the headers cherry red what can that be timing or valve adjust ment can anyone help me again

I've seen my headers glow red when I'm doing a new flat tappet cam brake in put a fan in front of the car and it went away I'm assuming the car is sitting idling for a extended period of time with no air moving over them?

The car has a new cam is not tune yet but it was idleing for like 15 min but when I hit the gas a little they look so hot red hot

Cam sensor is a tooth off. This has been the third tread in just a few weeks for this same thing

That's rich!

The search is your friend...this is something you should have known before starting the engine...

That's not good Hector. Don't you have a new flat tappet cam in your engine?

Do you have a dial indicator and a magnetic base to check your cam lobes?

That flat tappet is splash lubed. Need to vary that engine speed to break it in.

Roller cam Cnc ported heads Cnc ported intake girdle forged crank carillo rods je pistons he'll fire rings arp bolts bun damper is flywheel td roller rockers 1.6 and 3400 converter Multy disk 80 lbs injectors turbo 6665 70 mm throttle body and plenum and suspension is done too

Good. With the problem you had during initial fire up, a flat tappet probably wouldn't have survived.

Can you do a leak down test and/or did you get a valve job when the engine was apart?

Did a leak down test was good and the heads where checked and cleand up by bobs machine in nj all he those is dry cars for the last 40 years and he is good
