Hello all,
I need to change my Front Pump stator tube. What do i need to remove in the transmission (200r4) to pull the front pump out? Once the Pump is out, will the removal of the stator be straight forward? This is my 1st time attempting this type of work, is it recommended that I do so?

Check out this thread. I had the same issue, and it doesn't sound like doing it yourself without a lathe to true it up will work.

If it's not a high dollar trans I'd give it a shot.
A front pump puller is almost a must, I got mine out with a large channel lock on the stator support, but it was very tricky.
Don't forget to pull the TC lock up solenoid before pulling the front pump.

Once you have the trans out, and the pan off and as stated above the lock up solenoid out, remove the pump bolts and I pried the pump out with the trans sitting output down in a five gallon bucket.

While you have it apart, might I suggest a set of hard rings and a stiffer slide spring. If you are feeling real ambitious a larger boost and rev valve and stiffer spring there too. Then some stiffer springs in the line bias and accumulator valve. I think all come in a kit.

Thanks for everyone's help. I removed the pump as you guys said, but used a flat pry bar and a big strong flathead screwdriver. Slowly and carefully I used them to remove the pump. Once the tcc solenoid was removed, I placed the flat screwdriver b/w the pump and the casing (looking from the inside of trans. Case where the solenoid was installed. I placed the flat edge b/w the gap where the pump rear face meets the trans. casing surface).,it took about 10mins of slowly working from side to side, but it worked. Had to replace the paper gasket but it was only $2 at the parts store.
I removed the 3 torx bolts and pressed the stator tube out. No one mentioned it, but there in an circular alignment pin that needs to be pressed out also, and pressed into the new stator tube. I did that, and pressed the stator into the new pump and lastly replaced the o-ring gasket around the pump. In all, it wasn't bad at all.

Thanks for all your help!
