I found out my car has a crack in the A/C liquid line. This is the line that connects the accumalator to the compressor and is also called the high side according to my mechanic.

He called a GM dealership and they told him this line is discontinued. He also called parts stores with no luck.

Can i use a line from a NA regal or any other car as a replacement? Or should i post up in parts wanted section?

Discontinued? I just bought 3 of them the other day.

Part no. 25525272

A few months ago I had a friend by the entire line assembly from O'Reilly for about $79. I seriously doubt they've been discontinued. There's nothing special about the lines, so if they route the same as a N/A Regal or G-body, then go for it, if you can find them. The only differences I've seen between the stock and aftermarket replacement is: the stockers are painted black, and the replacement is in it's natural aluminum color.
Actually, when GM says they're discontinued, it just means that GM dealers are no longer stocking them. After 10 years, the dealers normally quit stocking the item, and leave it up to the aftermarket manufacturers and retailers to be the source.

Don't get a new one...I think the new ones are about $75-$100...just take your old one to a parts store (not like autozone or advanced, but a place like napa, or the parts place...also, I think a radiator place will do it also) and have them just re-crimp your old lines. They'll cut the old crimps off, replace the hose with new ones, put on new crimp connectors, and just re-use the "connectors". I had this done (b/c GM said it was discontinued) it cost me about $10 bucks! And I'm THRILLED!!! and it looks great!

I just took a look at the line again. It is not the two lines that run above the radiator. Rather it is the metal (return?) line on the passenger side right under the radiator filler neck. I think it is connected to the condensor. From there it connects to a line that runs behind the accumalator and disapears behind the heater shield. So it does not connect directly to the accumalotor like i mentioned incorrectly before.

Are we talking about the same part? I priced the part that Nick mentioned it comes to about 55$ on gmpartsdirect.com. I dont want to order the wrong part.
