Easiest way to unlock a g body, since there's no door frame above the window all you have to do is pry the window out a couple inches stick your arm in and unlock the door.

And the window doesn't break..............????

you'd be surprised how far you can pull these windows out.


personally i go the multi deterant route... column lock, the club and an alarm with an ignition kill. With all that its the full coverage that helps me sleep at night.

There is a plastic (Nylon?) thing riveted to the glass, so when the window is up, there is a pin that keeps the window from popping out like that, since most have never been replaced, they are either already broken, or dry enough to break very easily.

There are two types I am thinking of, one is that red thing that you put on when you park the car that needs a key to remove in order to put the key in the ignition switch. The other is permanently mounted to the car, but still allows access to the ignition switch. The one that you remove by using a key is the one I am refering to be a deterrent, if you've ever lost the key to one, you'll know what I mean, they are easily removed.

I was talkin' about the lock that you put on to prevent the steering wheel from turning and the key from goin in. the standard lock that locks it (5200 series american) is worthless. you can bump it right off. the scandinavian locks are bump proof and everything else proof. which is what I recommend. They're a great deterrent actually. but overall, theyre just going to tow it anyways. which is why you need to gps your ride.

Install is easy and I can watch my car at any time. We installed it on several pieces of heavy equipment.

At night I put a small empty bottle of 2-stroke oil under my front tire. That is the FIRST "pop" you will hear. The second one will cost you some blood.

On another note...sometimes we may not like to give out such info to relatively new members on the board. Not saying you will go out and steal a TR, but no one knows.

my cyclone has hadthe column broken 2 times this year both times at the shop loaded with scrap aluminum!!! so i just remove the computer and dont lock it so i dont loose another window!!! had a grant removeable wheel but caught a kid trying to drive it off with a pair of vice grips . think im tired and will move this year. if you take the pcm out at least it wont start. im thinking about wireing the no1 plug wire to the seat ,it might deter them!!

Where do you get the Scandinavian lock. Where do you get the gps and do you have to pay monthly to use it?
