I take it that a Roku device/stick is not compatible?

I'm not understanding how the whole thing works. How will I be able to watch TV channels through my internet service? I tried with the Roku & my service provider blocked my access to the channel that I wanted.

Well... I finally dug in & tried to figure this KODI thing out. It looks like the KODI site has been improved/simplified since I last looked at it. After reading up & watching a few YouTube videos, I think I have it figured out, somewhat. I have downloaded it onto my computer, but have not figured out how to transfer it to my TV. I don't think my TV & Roku hardware is compatible.

I'm guessing this stuff is basic for Millennials. That's OK, let's see them try to build a house. :D
