Cool.
At least you don't need to worry about flat lobes.
Sounds like you are well informed on "building", so I am not going to insult your intelligence what to look for mechanically.
I know how touchy it can get on these boards, especially when you have done the homework.
Do you have another ECM to try for S&G?

If the cam sensor was out, it would affect all cylinders, not just #3.

Got a couple of ECMs laying around. Not sure what they are out of, or how to identify them. I do have the original 85 ECM as well. Oh. and believe me, I doubt you would insult my intelligence. Most of you guys on this board know more about these cars than I do. I actually have NEVER driven a TR!!  I will take ALL the advise I can get my grubby little hands on!!:D

Look for ECM pn# 1227148
GN84Gary did a NICE writeup in the sticky!

Haven't had much time to mess with anything this week. Might be able to monkey around with it this weekend. Going to swap injectors from one to three and see if the inj is stuck open causing the plug to foul. Not sure what else it could be. Also, the comp roller cam I have is a 212-212 duration on a
.504 lift int and exh How smooth should I expect the idle to be??

did you figure out your problem?

I am having a similar problem with my car after a rebuild just wondering if you figured out your problem

Thanks
Jason
