Help: Valve lifter noise

Yesterday when I got off work.I startup the engine it sounded loud and cause my knock retard to go on.As I accelerate the noise gets louder.Valve lifter tapping noise coming from the left side.After warmed it up and still noisy.So I turned it off and restart it 45 min. later and no noise at all and drove home.The engine has approx. 8,000 miles. (Speed Pro Cam with Crower`s cam saver lifters) I heard using Marvel mystery oil does the trick.Anyone one else tried it? Noise is intermittent when cold.This is the worst I`ve heard it.I hope I don`t have to change lifters.

When I was driving mine and the Casper's knock gauge went off and my lifter got noisy I wiped a cam lobe (number 3 exhaust )

If you're lucky you might have a broken rocker shaft.
