help with a vin#

Can anyone help decode a Vin number? A friend of mine just bought an 85 T-Type and he wants to know if its an original turbo car. The Vin# is 1G4GK47.

I've erased part of the vin because there are those that lurk and try to steal just from the VIN.

if the 8th digit is a '9' its an original turbo car ex: 1G4GK4794FP******

No prob. The RPO tag in the trunk (so long as it matches the VIN...) will also confirm it is an original turbo car...look for code LM9.
