help with cam sensor install

I'm sure someone has asked this before. I'm having troubles pushing cam sensor all the way down. I've been trying to turn crank to get slot for oil pump gear lined up but I am still struggling. Any ideas?

Dont turn the crank ,make sure your at 25 degrees atdc then use a long screwdriver to turn the pump gear to 11 oclock postion t,hen hold the cam sensor with the screw holes at 9/3 oclock.then take the window of the sensor with, cap off and turn it to 5 oclock. not a great typer!!!
