Howdy,
I'm trying out a Turbonetics T-70 BB from Cotton. It is a big turbo for my combo, but anyway. I would like to use my THDP, and was wondering what accuator might fit the turbo. The compressor cover has eight boltz instead of the usual six. What mounting plate fits this cover to hold an accuator? I guess I should have asked Jack Cotton, but its the weekend now.

Now what about the oil feed line? I see a fitting on the CHRA, but it is pointed straight up, what fitting do I need to buy to get it pointed rearward, like OEM turbo? Do I need new oil lines??

for the oil fitting leave that one in it and put whatever fitting you have in your current turbo in top of the one that came in it

the one in it is actually a filter

stock line will stretch up there with a lil tug :)

you should be able to modify your current wastegate accuator to work

drill, grinder, and welder anything will work if not get out the torch, sawzall , or plasma cutter ;)

Red, do you, or Scott have a turbo similar?

I see the filter. That is a good addition. Well, for $ 1,xxx.00 I kind of expected the turbo to already the proper fitting, but Oh well.

You got off cheap! I spent quite a bit more before the winter sale(if that's when u got it). I have a BB-65. Again just take the 90* fitting from your old turbo blow some air through it and put it on.You'll have to slightly bend your old turbo oil feed line, but it's no hassle just be careful and don't kink it.

where can I get just the filter fitting? Jack CottoN?

Of course, on Mon. Jack sent out the fitting. We were all very tired from the track rental, and he forget to include it. Sweet looking turbo...polished compressor housing. I'm not complaining about price, I bought a $2200 turbo for my Subaru, that hurt!:(

I bet Jack can get the filtered fitting for turbos from Turbonetics. Every turbo should have at least this to prevent debris from getting into bearings. Looks like it should filter out particles 80microns and larger. (beach sand is around 250micron, flour dust is around 30micron.)

yeah the turbo I was running at the rental was a 72 q-trim bb turbonetics from good ol Jack Cotton:cool:

WOW, I thought a 70 was big for a 3.8Lt. Maybe I should get a bigger turbo? I bought a P-trim 70. Any chance I'll ever see low 10s with that unit.
Still in box, maybe Jack will let me return it for a bigger one.

Red, I ordered a roller cam kit from JC. Do youu have any spare time in the next two months??
