Some say these will not last long and I talked to Jaime at BG and she said these didnt last well on her car so we will see about durability.

Have it mounted down under the driver side core support on the bumper.

This is a view of the back of the driver side turn signal light.








These pics were still in the prototyping stage. Was trying to see if the idea was feasible.

The suction side of the pump will go up through the core support hole behind the headlights, into a water/ oil separator and then into the driver side valve cover breather.

I am still running a pcv for evacuation at idle and cruise. I have a hobbs switch turning the pump on at 4 psi with the racetronix harness.

Not a go fast mod, but a mod none the less.

We were breaking boys off pretty good...

It is about 18 degrees outside in texas right now so my car isnt going anywhere for the moment.

My car nor me is used to weather like that.

im getting ready to install an s10 pump on my car.I like where you mounted it.
I think we need to pipe in and out of a catch can first and then to the pump .im going to hook to the fuel pump relay through an old hobbs switch i have
 
The suction side...

It pulls out of my breather into a water / oil separator with a drain and a cleanable bronze filter and then into the pump that way I can catch all of the oil/fuel/alky vapors in the separator before it gets to the pump.

The catch can would suffice as well and there is a pretty nice aluminum catch can on ebay for around $20 that comes up when you search grand national on ebay.

I read pablo's thread on his install and modeled my install closely after his.

I have a setup that may work well with your evac pump. My vapor cannister is setup with two check valves after the cannister. I am willing to bet if you put the evac pump on a hobbs switch and put if on the end check valve on the dead end it will work well.

So with the hobbs switch firing up the pump and connecte to the check valve that closes on vacuum it may work for how you want it. The Usplastics check valves work nice for this since they crack at about half a pound.

Good luck with your setup will be intersted to see how you get it done.
 
I like the location however I've discovered these types of pumps don't pull a lot of vacuum so the distance between it and VC should be minimal.
 
Thanks for the replies guys. I haven't even had the car out of the garage since I put that pump on there. If it doesn't seem to work well, I guess I will have to do something different. I tried the pump with the harness just to make sure the pump worked before I put it on the car. It seems like it was moving alot of air so I'll try it like I have it and see if the rear main problem is less apparent after a high boost pass.

I'll keep all the ideas in mind and I appreciate the input.

Is the piece going into the intake a fabricated piece or off the shelf somewhere. It looks good either way. I might implement that design the next time the turbo is off. The turbo is really in my way of getting to the pcv right now.

Barb fitting is off the shelf too.

the key is to have the filters before the pump then the plastic pieces won't melt as easily. We went mechnical and I've had no issues whatsoever with that application for the past 6 years.
