Sorry about the post "lag"
, Ive been real busy. John just to make sure you know, I meant that the block has the same locations for the mounts, I just have to use my RWD mounts as opposed to the FWD ones. Hope that clears it up for you.
Now I have spoken to the person who Im buying the kit from and he stated that those are the appropriate specs for the turbo althought he didnt have a P/N to make sure it was the correct Garret turbo.
I have also spoken with someone who is doing the same project as mine and we swapped turbo specs and he has a smaller turbo(.50 compressor .82 exhaust 57 wheel trim) and runs 12.6 1/4 at 106mph at 7psi. He thinks that my turbo might be too big. I was kind of looking for some opinions from you fellows/ladies on the performance of the TA-49 or TE-44 with a Spearco Intercooler 30x6x3, ported heads and intakes, 3000 stall, 3.42GR, 8.5:1CR. Whats the lag gonna be like in street trim(ie. 93oct, 15psi)? Also is it true that the TE-49 has a sweet spot at 22-25psi?
Sorry for the a$$load of questions!
Thanks,
Shane
