What are the down sides of having too much stall converter for the turbo? I have a Art Carr CPT-19930-M stall with TE44 (for now). What turbo would be a good match for the converter?

I had the same converter with a 44 and it spooled it as fast as i could floor it. it had the .63 Garrett housing too. It had some compressor surge at minimum throttle angles but was not a big deal. A .85 housing would have helped.

i ran a 44 and a 3200 stall.spooled real quik on the street,just hard to hook.

I have a GT32 with a 3200 stall and I love it. Traction is not bad on DRs for me. If the pavement is cold or dirty then obviously you will have traction issues. But I would not be worried about that set up. In fact, I would do it again. It is a blast to drive on the street.

Had the same combo once...Only down side was traction. ;) But It would net some great 60' times at the track.
