Hello to all...

I've just recently purchase my first GN, but it was right before I shipped out to Korea for awhile. It sucks that I will not be able to drive her but it will give me time to study and learn all the things to look for and understand what to change and leave alone.

I want to make it a daily driver with the accessional autocross and track.

Originally, it's a 1987 GN. But during it's life time, was badged as an GNX. I'm not sure if I want to continue this look as I'm not sure if I like owning/driving a 'fake'. I do like the look, but I also like the look of the original GN's. Either way, I have at least nine months to make my mined up.

Please feel free to vote on the 'Pole' at the top.

Return to stock GN...or keep as a fake GNX?
Thanks,
Damon

Just remove the GNX badging if it bothers you that much.
A lot of people like the look of the flares and side vents...
Im at Bragg.

Damon,
Either way, It's a great looking car that will most likely lay waste to most anything on four wheels. Do what makes you happy. What branch are you in? Lots of Vets here;). Here's some good performance info to get you started. http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/info-for-new-turbo-regal-owners.380856/
These car's can haul ass like no other. Knowledge is the key. Let us know your goals and what you need. Lots of good info and great people here.

Welcome to the site.:)

Thank you,

Currently in the Army with 10 years prior Navy.

My goals...
Make a reliable daily driver that drives straight and true, comfortable and yet can handle very well. I'm not looking for a sub 11 second car, but more of a track car that feels good on the road. Something I could drive 1,000+ miles to visit friends and family...and race on a weekend...and return home.

I also need it to appeal to my better half. I would like her to enjoy it as well.

Again, I have some time and won't be wrenching on it for at least another 9 months.

These cars are legendary for their power/ comfort/ driveability , and decent gas mileage. They are not quite so legendary for their handling and stopping. I'd get with Scott at GNS performance;). He's a vendor here.

500+ horse power, sub 11 time slips, 20+ mpg, AC, Cruise, and a quiet car for a long trip is kinda the norm here. You've come to the right place.:D
Here's mine. http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/my-87-gn-cruise-air-10-55-et-21-mpg.370097/

Thank you for your service.

Mike-

First, thank you for your service.
Second, WOW....that is a beauty! Thank you for sharing, very inspiring. I have looked at several suspension options and I definitely like the DSE option.

Hi Damon,

First of all Nice Looking Car! If it were me I would leave it just the way it is, stuff some wide tires on it, lower it and have fun!

Let us know when or if you choose to go with a nice handling suspension package and we will help you out with the best price possible.... We just sold a suspension to another guy in Afghanistan and we saved him over $300.00, we will do the same for you!

Thanks for serving our country!

Hi Scott,

Thank you for the offer. Even though, your opinion may be slightly biased....I would agree! ;) These cars are sexy either directions...stock, or not. I will hit you up when I'm ready to pull the trigger...but I might be awhile:sorry::cry:.
