High timing chips....colder plug?

if you run a higher timing chip(23-26) with alchy, should you also run a colder plug? I have a 21 and 23 aggresive street chips for alchy. Now getting on boost with partial to half throttle with the 21 degree chip did not result in any knock which is good. then i threw in the 23 degree chip and got on boost at partial to half throttle and now it knocks earlier. I guess its because of hotter combustion chamber. sometimes i just like to get on boost at partial to half throttle and not always wot on the street.

Autolite 23's or AC 42's would be good for your combo. I ran 23 psi boost with a JL 26* timing chip with the autolites gapped at a tight .035 and it ran great.
