Hi gurus, I have an 85 T type that I bought 2 years ago, when I purchased the car the trans had been swapped with a CT trans that I later found was out of a Caprice HO. The initial problem was very early shifting @ WOT at about 4500 rpm. So I installed a Trans Go shift kit and a govenor from a CZ trans. Now the 1-2 shift is great 2-3 is kinda sloppy and the 3-4 is great. The problem I have now is in order to clean up my sloppy 2-3 @ WOT I have to adjust the TV cable pretty tight and I found out by mistake that running @WOT the engine would cut out and buck until I let off the gas. I was hitting the rev limiter in my chip because the engine would rev up to 6K before it would shift @WOT. How do I tighten up the 2-3 so I dont have to adjust the TV so tight. Would a super Servo do the trick. I know that this trans is no comparison to the Bq, Cz, or Br, but I just need it to last until I can get a new trans.
