Hood latch

Hello I recently had my car painted and the guy who painted it dropped my hood and bent my latch. Well apparently he thought he bent it back straight and then proceeded to shut my hood! Now it will not shut and will not latch so should I just sawzaw it becuz I tried bending it and am afraid I will scratch the paint?is there a trick I'm missing I can kinda get to one bolt on the latch but the other ones covered ?

Are you talking about the part on the hood or the part mounted in the core support?

I am talking about the secondary latch the one with the lever you pull after you pop the hood some people call it a safety latch

find another if it's bent that bad. should be easy to find, should be the same on all Gbodys

I got it open! I reached from the bottom side and was able to bend it over with some vice grips
