Hey, maybe you guys can answer this one for me. Those of you that have installed hooker catbacks, is this how you installed the rubber muffler hangers?

or do i need to use the included "L" brackets ?

also, should I use the top hole like shown or move it up another ? it seems to hang even with the test pipe, but I havent put the car on the ground yet. I'm still adjusting the fitment and tailpipes and such.

Thanks.

it says attachments pending approval so i dont know if they're showing up yet so here:

oh come on i'm sure one of you 25 people that've viewed this have installed a hooker system...

Thats how I have mine mounted. I had an issue with the top of the tailpipe (where it goes over the axle) would like either hit the spring on one side or the upper control arm if it wasn't adjusted perfect. This would then make an annoying rattle when it bumped the spring. I ended up moving the tailpipe section back about an inch and tapped a new hole in the bottom of the frame for the back bracket. Now it clears the spring and control arm with a little more space and doesn't rattle any more. This was on the passenger side only. I still have every thing just clamped together, not welded. I also made a new rubber hanger for the mount at the back of the cat/testpipe. The original had a tear in it and caused the the downpipe (3" mease) to hang to low and rub on the upper control arm. It took alot of tweaking to get everything right so have patience. Hope this helps

So you didnt use the "L" shaped brackets?

and it hasnt torn it any or done any damage to the straps being put on like that?

Excellent. Thanks for your help. Anyone else do it differently with good success?

I've read someone using the "L" brackets, but I cant get mine to line up good with that and the rubber part of the strap goes at quite an angle to hook up.
