hooking up tranny cooler

Ok, got a ? on hooking up the tranny cooler, I see alot of the members say to go to the rad first then the external second, why not go the other way around, reason I wanted to go this route is that you have a chance to cool the tranny fliud a little more before it goes back into the rad to be cooled more then back to the tranny.:confused: just my thinking let me know what the rest of you guys think. also Bruce thanks for the pics of the cooler under the FM :D looks BADD. Jr.
 
I understand your thinking...

but this is my understanding of it, the rad. is only going to cool it so many degrees due to eng. temp, let say eng. is 200 deg. and trans is 230 your only gonna get that much or less cooling, but then it enters the ext. cooler and cools a few more, I beleive the other way around and your still gonna end up with eng. temp at best.
