hot air turbo markings?

I pulled off my turbo on my 85 GN, and it didn't have "Garret" on the on side as i thought it would. It has "AC-1-M10" on the side. Does anyone know what that means?

I am guessing it is factory piece or a remanufactured one??

I believe yo uare looking at a 100 percent original. All my turbos I have ever had for my car (3), were the M-10 air-research with a small arrow. Garret bought air-research later on so the name changed or so I am told, not too sure of the validity. I am almost certain you have an original in your hands! I got mine in the pass seat of my truck right now, and it has the exact same stuff on it.

Cool, I didn't know that these cars came with anything but Garrett. Are the M10 the same as the Garrett, but with a different manufacturer? i would guess they are...
