Hey Joe,
One thing that I did, seemed like a good idea at the time and now almost 2 years later I have not reason to think differently, I pushed a loop of wire up into the passenger compartment using the hole in the floor that the shifter comes through. I neatly tucked it into an "undisclosed location" where I cut it and inserted a toggle switch. Whenever I'm not in the car the hidden toggle switch is in the off position which means the fuel pump has no power. I'm sure others will chime in with a dozen or so reasons not to do this but so far my GN and my TTA are both still running perfectly and are still MY GN & TTA. Just my 2 cents, and to your original question, took me about an hour (including installing the hidden switch).

Ok, so I abandon the old wiring. Do I unplug the power sorce for the factory harness? Where does it originate? Ecm? Relay?...

No it's really not hard at all, just follow the instructions that came with the hot-wire kit. Once you have the wire ran from the alt. to the factory harness at the tank, it's simply plug-n-play.

So did you end up abandoning the the factory harness due to the fact of the old one running through the body? I am currently elbows deep in this job and would like to know what to do with the factory wiring. Thanks!
