I will have a 4.1 shortblock. Either ported irons with 1.77 vavles or the champion irons. Stock ported headers. ATR crossover and a terry houston style dp. Ford i/c and V2. PTS 9/11 3400 stall convertor. I want to get the biggest turbo in there without alot of hassle getting the up and dp to fit right and be able to close the hood. I would like to go 60 series. What do you think is a good choice. I am trying to catch a local gn that runs low 11's. He has a TE 64-1 and a stage stroker motor, M&A heads, and a atr liquid i/c and alot of fricking mods, too many to list. I wonder how easy it is to get a TE 64 to fit?

I just got your e-mail, I've been gone for quite a while. The TE64 fit with no problem. I had already moved the TB to the intake side. The uppipe and down pipe come out in the same place, no problems there. The 64 should spool well with the extra cubes. I know my dad's T-76 spools very fast with the bigger motor. That's part of the reason I bumped my compression to 8.5.

11's on pump gas/street chip?

he's got a friggin 9 second combo there...

anyway, are you planning to relocate your throttle body?that will really open up your options on turbos.

later,sean

Not sure on the chip, probably a 93 ocatane chip. But he runs 110 octane in it all the time. He doesn't push the car hard. He has spent way too much $$$ on it to blow it up. He only runs 17 psi of boost in it. I know he turns it up some at the track but I don't know to what.
I have the V2 that has a 87 throttle body relocated.
