Is there a special way to install the rubber gaskets on the valve covers so they don't leak? I try to get them centered on the heads but they always seep oil eventually. Should I try some silicone with them?

Thanks
James

Put a touch of RVT in the groove in the valve cover to hold them in while putting the cover on.

I agree although I usually fill the entire valve cover with a bead of RTV before putting the rubber gasket in. In the last 3 years I've had my valvecovers off more times than I'd like to admit, always just putting them back on without touching the gaskets and have had absolutly no leaks.

Thanks Guys, I'll fill the entire valve cover grove with silicone tomorrow before I install the gasket and hopefully that will fix the leak.
