How can you tell if your turbo is blowing oil?

It happens after it gets warm and at idle at thr light m .

My friend's leaked at idle and after getting on it. Nothing obvious like the turbine loose or noise etc. Replaced it and no more smoke.

Nothing loose no pkay put i have had the turbo saver kit that put and extra filter.in the system just wandering if i had run it liw and starved the turbo of oil at one point for alittle bit.

take the turbo off and run it wothout it.

It will either smoke or make the air intake filter dirty.

Either DIY or send off for rebuild. The kit was cheap when I bought one from Precision years ago. A steel oil ring on the impeller side and new bearings. The hardest part was getting the compressor wheel off because it was ground on to balance and some of the flats were missing.
