how do you bring a 10sec TR into cali?

how do you bring a 10sec TR into california, and have it pass the visual at the DMV any Ideas welcome..

slip the guy a few bucks. what wouldn't pass? put the stock airbox on, put a cat on(i can get by with just a piece of metal wraped around the dump, you can't see fi there is a cat under there or not and they dont' care here), get some radials, and you should be good to go.

if that won't work and you don't mind breaking a few rules pm me.

leave it registered in another state and keep your home state drivers license, if you get pulled over you are in california on business

you must, i mean MUST find away to maintain or use an out of state address in a "friendly" state

well this is what i got

1- aftermarket catalytic that i take off and put on every 2 years in my car, i can use this one on this out of state 10 sec TR.

2- stock airbox, although i think cold air induction will do just fine..

3- egr valve

4- radials

5- smog canister.

all this things can come off my 1st TR that i own and put on this 10 sec GN and then put back on my old TR, i guess i got it covered, if there is anything else that you guys can think off please let me know...

Take off any shiny chrome stuff and "dumb down" the engine. Also, instead of going to the DMV, have the young "not very car savvy" ladies at a local AAA office do the inspection and process the paperwork instead. All the pert 21-year old AAA girl saw when I brought my original CA car back from its 3-year stint in Washington state was a black Regal that hadn't been washed in two weeks (purely intentional); all she was looking for under the hood was the Federal/CA emissions sticker on the heater box. Actually, you might want to swap the heater box cover from your car to the other one for this reason. Just a thought.....
