How do you remove the headrest???

Het Guys,
I got some blank headrests covers and I am getting some custom stitching done on them. I also made a little plate the headrest will slide thru and it will hold my 4 point harnesses from falling off the sides of the seat. Problem is, I cant get the headrests out. Whats the trick?

What i did was raise the headrest i slid my flat blade slim jim (the one you use to unlock cars that is flat steel about 1 inch wide) i slid it down in between the front of the headrest stalk and that trim that surrounds the stalk hole. Push the slim jim down as far as you can then at the same time push the headrest down along with the slim jim a couple of inches then pull the headrest up and out while leaving the slim jim down in the seat back. Takes about 10 seconds.

Thats what I was thinking...just cut it off...LOL
I have a blade that will work to slide in.
