how does your wife/girlfriend think about your GN/t-type?

It took my then girl friend 6 weeks to stop calling it a Monte Carlo but after almost 4 years I think she's coming around. She still gets ill if I spend money on my car but every once in a while I get the feeling that she realizes how special these cars are.
Just today we went to the strip where I squeezed off some 12's and she told me that I ran good. [Had lousy 60 ft. times, couldn't do better than a 2.14] I told her that it should be an 11 second car and she looked at me and said, But it isn't, is it.
Almost sounds like a challenge.

Hooptie
My wife calls my GN a hooptie. I have my 3 yo daughter calling it a hot rod. I bought it in August of 05', took me a year and a half to strip it, do body work, and paint it. With lots of help in between. Just brought it home yesterday and I can't stop looking at it. Wife says it's a different car. Well honey, that's what I have been doing for the last year and a half
. We'll see what she thinks once she's had a ride in it. She asked me if it was fast. I told her it's faster than the 00' C5 vert we had, pre 3 YO, I think she doesn't believe me. Maybe I will get some pics up today.

j/kmy wife wants a TB, but not as a daily - she wants a "newer" car for daily - you know, one that feels fresher than my 85k GN. She has never really gotten into the boost, but she has had people blow off at her and stare etc... her less than attractive friend was w/ her one time and she thought they were staring at her
well I first bought my 84 t-type and my wife thought I bought the biggest pile of poop that I could find. It barely ran. you had to push it down hill to get to go fast. then all of a sudden I got it fixed and running well. The first weekend that we took it out and beat just about everyone that was stupid enough to try to race. when we got home she admided to me that it turned her on and her own. so I bought her one and wouldn't you know it hers is faster. ALSO she doesn't let me forget it. go figure
When I wrecked my 86 GN,my wife cryed more than I did! She said "you killed our baby",way to make a guy feel better We dated in that car and got to know each other(read between the lines). It was the limo in our wedding.It was a special car. But now she has her own 87 T and it's nicer than my GN!!! She drives it everyday and I'm lucky to drive the Gn twice a week
She lets me spends lots a $$$ on both of them,and for that I am very grateful. Black and white crack is the most addicting drug known to man.:wink:
