87Regal,

Read the attachment post #9 put in. It shows how the neck compares to the others. It's definatley is an improvement over stock and a cheaper way to go but it does not keep up with a stretched. I decided against the neck just because I did not want to spend a couple hundred bucks on a stock IC that I would eventually have to upgrade anyway. If you watch the boards you can pick a used stretch in the $450 range.
Good advice!!;)

Yep, and I'm still watching....

I’ve seen one for sure and maybe even two since this thread started. One still may be available. It was a PTE and starting price was $450. After a couple of weeks the price even went down. They are not a readily available but they are out there. I ended up with a G-body stretched which was used but never installed for $600. A few more bucks than I wanted to spend but I knew its condition was going to be good. Keep watching and one will pop up or at least go back and find the one I’m talking about and see if its still available. It was for sale by TUFFGN.

Ive seen some cars in the high tens with the stock intercooler. Ive gone 11.3's with the stock intercooler with two different cars that i have owned. With the right conditions and tuning i think you can take that stocker intercooler pretty far.

A bigger intercooler will have quicker spool up, lower exhaust backpressure, and a cooler intake charge. In my opinion it makes a car more reliable for a given horsepower level to switch away from a stock IC unless it's a pretty mild setup.
