Here I go again.

I ordered something from a popular vendor here. Their site does not indicate when things are out of stock like OTHER vendors sites do. (Yes! I should have called and checked availability)

Besides,I could have bought this part from the other vendors here.

Got an email the next day indicating the part is back-ordered,will take 2-3 weeks to get it,and will ship asap. That communication was 1 month ago.

I emailed the customer service rep that sent me that email. It's been over 24hrs... No response.

Tomorrow I'm gonna call them.

I want to walk the right line here so that everyone doesn't jump on me for over-reacting.

I've got boxes of parts arriving on my step regularly. My latest purchase was an audible knock alarm, etc from Casper's. Shipping faster than a speeding bullet. Packed well.

Sounds like you are on the right path, and it's nice to see someone not just go blasting away!

Give them a call, speak with the owner and let him/her resolve the situation. I would def rec speaking with the owner.
