Do they hold up well in a heavy street car?

How much harder are they on the trans?

Thanks.

Leeo does!!

Precision Industries multi disc (#6 pump ) I got 5 years service of racing and street driving until this past winter I sent it back in for a freshing up as the rpm drop upon lockup was getting less. (300 compared to 700 when right.) It does lock HARD during normal driving. I am used to it now. Can/t see any damage to trans. 3500 lb. car, high 10/s on a GOOD day, low 11/s any other time.

The only converters that I know of that could handle the WOT lockups on a 10 second car would be the Precision Vigillante's (multi disc)

My car certainly isn't 10 second car (but I know a few that are and run them), but I do run one of the original Vigillante's (-6 pump, 7 disc) in mine, and have never had a converter clutch problem since! Now several years old.

Thanks for the replies.

How many mph do you figure you are picking up(1/4 mi) with it?

Thanks.
