Razor, what do you mean by "grind" it? Should I tap it first?

Well if you dont own a bench grinder, dremel, etc.. then you wont know what a grinder is

This is one of those ya know or ya dont. If you try and put a 3/8 drill through chrome without grinding/removing the chrome first.. your going to make a mess. Start with small drill bit.. work your way up slowly.. no issues.

I have a stepped bit and a dremel. I wasnt sure what you meant by grind it...I was just asking about tapping because it makes it easier to start a hole...Just a thought but I guess I wont do it..
