When I installed my 6776dbb 4 months ago I ran my TT chip at default fuel settings on my 60# injs. I always had enough fuel for high 700-low 800 02's.

Make a long story short....I had been fighting an upper rpm miss/sputter and general lack of power problem for almost a year. Finally pulled the motor and had a very worn stock cam and lifters along with some worn rings. Newly rebuilt engine in with 206 roller. I have not ran it alot yet, but from the little amount of tuning I have done I have had to add about 15% of fuel @ WOT. I am still in the low 700 02's. Is this right? I know that this turbo is a monster but does it want that much fuel? My static FP is 42 psi line off.

JUst wondering what some of you other 6776 guys are setting your combo up with as far as FP(static at regulator and chip parameters)

By the way the car is scary fast....I need some good brakes now.:D

I have a different set up than you, but I wanted my defaults to support 25 PSI in the chip, but I had to add about 6% fuel. But the chip was pretty close right out of the box.

Since you changed your cam maybe you should get a new chip? Just a guess I honestly don't know

I will shoot Eric a question on his forum. I believe that once I add the whole 20% of fuel at WOT then my inj are maxed at 100% duty cycle..but I could be wrong.

Ed, this is Taylor from Shreveport(Dennis son). I was recommended by Cotton to get 83 lb injectors before he tunes my car. I have that same turbo and injectors on my car. He said he could work with the 60's but it would be better off with 83's so I take it that turbo can max out those 60lb injectors.
Just my thoughts

Taylor

Thanks Taylor.

I spoke with Eric@TT via his forum and he has my chip set up for fueling a 6152 which is what I told him my upgrade would be 5 months ago. I ended up going with the 6776 and I did not contact him about this. SOoooo...my chip is set for fueling a 6152, that is why I am maxing my fueling parameters out on my current chip. He is sending an upgrade for me. I got away with it for months because my cam was almost wiped out...now the roller is showing a weak link in the chain.

So....60#'s are enough for your setup then, lets say if you wanted to run 18psi???

Eric said I will never max out my 60#'s with this turbo/cam combo. He said the only issue I will have in the future is if I run mid-10's or lower I will possibly need a dual nozzle setup for the alky. He said I can run my setup at 25+ psi with no issues regarding the fuel parameters and duty cycle with the right programmed chip of course.

I am just shooting for low 11's with a conservative amount of boost. I have a stock bottom end and I really dont want to push my car. I only go to the track twice a year. It is mostly driven to car shows and a cruise on sunday afternoons.:)

That is pretty much my goal with this car(still new to this), 18-20psi on pump(93). Do you know of a cheap alternative to replace my intake manifold, besides 86'-87'??

That is a question you need to post in the Hot Air section. Those guys can give you a lot more info.

Ed, that's something you didn't tell me. The chip was for the 6152 that you never had, Of course you're short on fuel. Good thing you didn't hurt anything. How much boost?

I ordered the 60 #'s and told Eric I was gonna upgrade from my TA-60 to the 6152 then after you talked me into the 6776dbb I forgot to mention that minor detail about the bigger turbo.. Its all YOUR fault! ;)

And just think...I have been running that turbo for 4 months now with good air/fuel. Now with the new cam its starving for gas. Thats how bad my old camshaft was worn down. I maxed my chip out at 20% WOT and 24 psi withe the new combo and it is still lean. My new chip is coming after christmas..cant wait!

Just an update.

Eric sent me a new upgraded chip. With the default fuel settings it gave me 781 02 counts at 21 psi. I should have plenty of adjustment to turn up the boost now. Gotta love Turbotweak.:)

going thru the same problem now he said he would add 10-15% fuel to the program and thats just for a head/cam upgrade on a 6776

I thought I had a hole in my gas tank after I installed that new chip, my fuel gauge kept going down....

OH..its just the 6776 eating.

THis is rediculous. I see all of these threads about the 6776, and everybody seems to go nuts about these. Im getting a used ta51 for now, but im going to just go ahead and get the 6776 for when things get spicey.

Cant wait to see some times now 87nat.

My track reopens in mid-February. I just need some 28" tall tires....I guess I have to spend more money that I dont have on parts that I dont really need. Hey wait...thats my wife talking. :D
