How much horsepower would it take to get a 3400 lb car & driver into the eights ?

I searched the web for HP calculators and found that you will need 950 RWHP to power a 3400 pound car to a 8.91 ET. Needing 950 seems a little high to me.

The min. would be, according to the tci cal., 910 hp, w/10%conv. slip, 30" tire dia, 3.23 rear gears, and final trans ratio of 1:1=6000 rpm 8.97 sec. 150 mph

My car did it on only 767rwhp @3450, but this was a conservative Mustang dyno. Around 950 at the crank.

Thanks- I plan on running a PTE-7175 BB turbo with 120s on E-85 on my stage2 stroker 274"- turbo should have about 985 HP.
