how much is safe backspaceing

have 4 fronts on the car now gta rims runnign 245/50 16 tires and wondering if i have enough backspaceing theres enough for me to fit my finger between the frame and the tire on the rear how much is safe allso i was thinking about putting a small spacer to even out the way the tires look because of the 12 inch brake uppgrade.

If you can get your finger in there, it's plenty. There's very little movement between the tire's sidewall and the frame.
