how much power

As you can see i have some new parts now and getting ready to start it up soon. I need to know how much the block crank and rods , pistions can hold, or am i in to deep now. Should i gridle the block or steel main caps before i run this car hard. This is the new set up down the bottom.

By the way i just bought a nos set up to .

Should i start to save for a new block or do you think iam ok.

With the -54 turbo and 50# injs, I would either do the steel center mains or the girdle...With the steel center mains, you will need a line bore and hone and with the girdle, if using the stock main caps, you will need just the line hone...It will be a little more expensive with the girdle, but it will be stronger than just the steel center mains...It's your choice...

With a -51 turbo and 50# injs, I was putting 330hp/440 torque, with 92 oct pump gas and 16# boost with a 17* or 18* JL street chip...

If I was you, I would do one or the other(steel mains or girdle)...It will be piece of mind in the long run, because everytime you wind it up with 20+# of boost, race chip and race gas, you will be hoping and praying that your crank will stay in the block...Spend a little now, or RISK the chance of having to spend $2k more to redo your motor again later...

Even though it's not necessary, I would go with the girdle. I never got any times with my last combo but I was quicker than a Viper GTS on the top end and I ran it hard every single day. I put a beating on this car for 30,000 miles and I ended up cracking a cylinder wall (from severe overboost) but never pushed the crank out the bottom. About 20,000 miles worth of race gas and 25psi boost and the bearings looked like new when I tore it apart. I think the girdle is worth it just for the peace of mind, especially for a street car.
