HP and 10'z??
3700#, T-400, stock rear...
12psi boost... Car made 486 RWHP[3900 rpm] and 685# torque[3300 rpm]
Car went 10.27@133 w/ a 1.45 short time, @ 18#.
1/8th 6.54@105.. same run.
Looking at my ""should do" chart, I see the following:
w/ a 1.45 short, the car would have gone 10.75@123, IF I hit all the ET points on the chart between leave and termination of the run.
Looking at the MPH,[end of run] @133, and working in reverse order, the run should have looked like this:
134.0/10.00, 1/8-6.34, 330-4.06, 60-1.37.
The conclusion, as Woody said, is the ET and the MPH are tied somewhat, but as Paul said.. short times are in there too.
Obviously, the engine made well over 500 at the higher boost level of 18#. It also made more torque. Having said that, the car did not run the 60' it should. [Given the HP and torque] Converter was FUBAR..
Bottom line, [from the chart] want to run a ten??
Here's the first 10 run on the chart:
60-1.46, 330-4.36, 1/8-6.81, 10.75@123.5
Looking only at the 60' time can be misleading.. Turbo is coming up, the car is still reacting to launch, some tire spin could be in there, and the shift could be in the process too. 330' times are a good indicator to lokk at, in addition to the 60's.
ALOT of the "real pro's" look to see ZERO tire spin w/ an automatic trans and 1/2 to1 rev w/ a stick car...
The car will be dyno'd soon and some "new" suspension pieces installed... Stay tuned! You may hear the sound of broken rear gears and maybe a D/S too!!!
