I need a new oil pan gasket and have a few questions:

1. How much for the gasket?
2. Where can i get one?
3. Rubber or cork?
4. How much for shop to install?

Most likely you are looking at a one hour labor charge plus the gasket and an oil change might as well do the oil filter too.

Probably $85 or so maybe even a bit more.

They could probably do it in less time but cleaning stuff up like the pickup and pan and looking around in there takes time. ;)

Do the rear main seal if it's still rope also.

Cork gasket.

Do it yourself in the driveway for much cheaper. :D

Kirbans, Ramchargers, Full Throttle has a new composite I think, Postons.

Most of the vendors have them.

If you don't want to wait for shipping, do a search and dig up a ROL or Felpro number and find one at a local parts house that carries the name brands.

Should be some threads out there with good part numbers in them. :)

WHen doing an oil pan gasket, you should always use an engine primer to get oil back in the system, If not it may start and run dry , which is not good
