How Much Trans Fluid with Deep PAN???

I just put a new filter and gasket on trans.It has a Xtreme Transmissions Deep Pan.I put 8 qts in and it stll is at add.Does this sound normal?How much you guys putting in?I check it at idle when warmed up in park.Its not leaking or anything.Thanks

I just got done putting my transmision back in my car. I installed a ARTCAR oversized pan. With the fresh tranny and a drained torque converter, mine took 12qt of type F fluid. Hope this helps.

With Performance deepest alum tranny pan, it takes 16 qts.

Do you overfill the deep pan like a stock pan, that is fill way over and let it puke out what it can't hold?

The PTS deep pan adds 4 1/2 quarts of fluid to the total trans volumn. If all you did was drain the fluid from the pan it will probably be between 8 1/2 to 11 or so quarts to fill it again.

I just changed the fluid in my PTS tranny with the deep pan and it took 10 quarts to fill.
