This isn't a turbo buick question in particular, but I was told you guys would be the best ones to talk to for this qustion.
I have an 85 cutlass with a 305 and a 2004r which has about 7000 miles since being rebuilt. This summer I plan on building the 305 up abit, I think it should be about 270 hp, and about 290 ft/lbs.
My question is, will the stock (non gn or monte carlo) 2004r hold up to this motor?
I plan on putting a shift kit in as well as a transmission cooler, should I change anything else?
What would be the max horse power I could run and still have this tranny live a long life?
Thanks
