I just noticed in the last 2 days that there is a GN a few miles from my house in a rural area, sitting with tall grass all around it, pressed up against a big evergreen.
The car looks like it has been stationary for quite some while, and I am guessing that it belongs to someone who can't afford to get it back into running shape. From the chrome topped grill, it looks to be an 86, but who knows. From what I could see from the street, the body looks straight.
Here's the dilema...I considered going up to this little house and knocking on the door to see if the owner wants to part with it. But I keep envisioning scenes from the X-Files episode, "Home" Lets just say the place is modest looking. I don't need some backwoods cajuns coming after me. LOL!
So, what kind of approach would you take? I may just ball up and go over there tomorrow at high noon. My buddy says not to drive my NICE GN over there when I go, because it would probably be insulting. Maybe I can borrow someones rusty pickup?
Pray for me that I don't get shot as soon as I step on the guy's property......
