I am running a PTE turbo saver and I want to check what kind of oil pressure I have going to the turbo. Anyone have any ideas how I can do this. Thanks, Kyle.

I don't know how it's plumbed but if it is at the oil sender block it should be the same as regular oil pressure shouldn't it? But I do know you don't want to be getting ON it from the get go, let the oil warm up first to bring the pressure down, I learned the hard way. The seal let go & oil went out the down pipe after so many cold start up runs.
My start up psi is 70 summer 80 winter.

I wonder if you put an old shirt around the input line & slightly crack it open so oil is coming out to make sure you're getting oil I guess. Then tighten & clean up the mess.

Install a T and a gauge...

Who, me???? I really need to send you some info on what I've been doing Bryan. I have a feeling you'll need to clean your shorts after you see the work I've done on the frame as well as a few "other" items.:D

Need help finding cause of a whine when car is revved up.

Background: Installed new 6262 Dual Ball Bearing turbo purchased from Otto on 87 GN. Spoolfool ported wastegate and took apart turbo to paint exhaust and center section (see sticky on "How to port and paint turbo"). The center section oil restrictor was removed for painting and then re-installed. Re-used the stock oil line that feeds center section of turbo and the stock oil drain line also.Took car for a test drive around block and hear a whine when accelerating and when decelerating (not under boost either time as we have not adjusted the boost yet).

Thought sound was from belt tension pulley so removed belt and pulley and whine still present.

Checked the following: AC compressor checked ok, alternator checked ok, checked crankshaft pulley for rubbing or sensor misplacement but that checked ok.

Removed intake side of compressor and checked orange o ring, blades and bell for rubbing and they checked ok. moved blade shaft by hand to check for abnormal play and that was ok. Started car while turbo intake was off and whine still there .

Any ideas or any thing similar that someone else has experienced when installing this model turbo would be appreciated.

Take the bolts out of the converter and start the engine. Don't rev it up though. You may have some noise coming from the tranny pump.

Where exactly would one find an inlet t like the one phoneguy posted a picture of?

Its just a T that was bought at Advanced Auto Parts...

What are the dimensions of that fitting? Also what are the dimensions of that braided line. Pretty sure my turbo shit the bed due to a lack of oil. Would like to save the new one I'm getting

Its just a 1/8" NPT " T " fitting. The braided line you see is the oil feed line from the Turbo Saver. There is an adapter screwed in for the AN fitting from the oil feed line.
