How to kill mistletoe in trees?

Anyone have any good ways or chemicals that will kill mistletoe on trees? Trimming it out isn't an option as its up too high and some is even on the trunk. It's pretty much all over 2 Elm's that I would like to save, but afraid its going to eventually kill it as both these trees were treated for insects about a year and a half ago after my neighbor lost a huge Elm to insects, so they were already weakened from the insects before they were treated and now mistletoe is all over them.

There is not much you can do unless you can catch it early on and keep it from spreading. Sounds like you'll need someone that specializes in tree parasites to get that one way up in the tree. Here is are a couple of links you might find helpful.
