Plan to install a Thrasher 108 chip and after it "learns", remove the O2 sensor and wish to put my EGT probe there.

Has anyone done this? Where did you get the fitting? Or did you "blacksmith" something?

I tried gutting an old dead O2 sensor -- what a PITA. I never did get all the bonded ceramic out! Plus I could not figure how to make it work if I did...

Most people just bore a hole in the header and use a EGT probe clamp. If you want to do it the way you describe you can get a stainless fitting that goes from 1/2" NPT to 1/8" Tubing compression. Parker fittings or Swagelok will carry something like this.

I have a F.A.S.T ecu so I have wideband in the downpipe, and in place of the stock O2 I have the EGT.

I got a regular SS o2 plug (Plugs an O2 hole... Cottons carries them), and drilled/tapped it 1/8NPT. Threaded the Stainless compression fitting in for the Autometer EGT probe (which is 1/8" Pipe), done.

I went to the autoparts store and found an oil drain plug of the same size and threads. Drill, tap and install. I don't think it's stainless, but I put a lot of anti-seize on it. Works Great!
